Remembrance Service & Parade
This moving ceremony will be held on Sunday 12th November 2017 at the War Memorial on the Causeway.
The Parade will set off from the Royal British Legion HQ in Station Approach led by the Scots Guards Association Pipe Band and will arrive at the War Memorial at approximately 10.40am. The Service will commence at 10.45am. with Reverend Dave Bull, All Saints’ Church leading the service, with Pastor Kenneth Claassen, Newfield Community Church and Reverend David Downing of Christ Church United Reform Church. Mayor Jocelyn Towns and Deputy Mayor of Marly-le-Roi, Mr Carlos Montes will be laying wreaths on behalf of Marlow and Marly-le-Roi. Deputy Lieutenant Brigadier Bill O’Leary will be taking the Salute in the High Street.
Please note that the High Street will be closed to traffic and there will be no parking from 08.00hrs until at the latest 12.15pm. There will be other temporary road closures at the junction of Pound Lane and the High Street, Institute Road and Station Road. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but it is for the safety of those taking part in the Parade and the public who have come along to join in the Service and watch the Parade. You may also notice that there will be two large vehicles at the top of the High Street near the Obelisk. Again these are there to facilitate the closing of the road.
