Marlow was judged runner-up in the Michaelis Cup (small town category) and missed out on first place by a very small margin. We will be awarded a Certificate of Merit as we scored 86 out of 100 points.
Just a few of the comments made by the judges after their visit. “It is clear that great effort has been put into maintaining Marlow as an attractive town. Marlow Lock is beautifully kept. The war memorial was outstanding in its visual impact and showed appropriate evidence of respect. Despite its bustling nature and the large number of visitors it attracts, Marlow was substantially free of litter and showed much evidence of being a vibrant and caring community.
Thank you to everyone who helps to keep Marlow looking good throughout the year but especially during the judging period.
